Job Summary:
A mechanical assembler puts together or fabricates components for machines or mechanical products with the primary task of putting together the entire machine. These machines vary in size from 100lb units to 1200lb units. Preform quality checks and testing of parts and final assemblies.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow engineering blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to assemble parts or pieces.
  • Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures.
  • Perform quality checking, testing, and in line inspection of the completed items to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Assembling sub-assemblies, align ball screws, time the belt drive and install software as required.
  • Troubleshooting the machine operation to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the assembly process.
  • Assemble fixtures and ensure they are properly integrated into the final product.
  • Packaging the entire machine in crates or boxes when completion, ensuring it is ready for shipping.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing environment or production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
